Panama: Largest Solar Park in Central America

The Penonomé solar plant finally enters the commercial operation phase. The plant was built in 2019 and different power supply tests were carried out last year. On December 14, the National Dispatch Center of Panama certified the commercial operation of this solar plant.
The plant has 450,000 solar panels and 89 inverters that make up 23 electricity generation groups, these supply energy directly to a new warehouse built in the El Coco de Penonomé substation.
