Peruvian government to hold 2GW auction in 2022

The Ministry of Energy and Mines of Peru has announced that during the year 2022 different calls for auctions will be held in the public sector in renewable energies, it will be an investment of approximately 2 million dollars, a position that shows the country’s commitment to development of renewables and that wants to become a leader in this sector in the region.
In 2022, they plan to continue with rural electrification, which has provided benefits to more than 22,000 residents of rural areas, a thousand localities, 37,000 homes and 170,000 beneficiaries, with a disbursement of 341 million soles.
