The Dominican Institute of Telecommunications opened a bidding process to connect more than 450 low-income families, the idea is to give them a good cell phone service and that solar energy can feed the energy consumption of this equipment. The project infrastructure must have the following characteristics:
One cellular device for each family, with broadband.
A photovoltaic system to power the equipment.
A bank of batteries.
The program to be developed is called “Connect the unconnected”, which will reach 17 communities with the greatest economic and social vulnerability in the country.
